Meet Natalie

Microblading at Elle Vie is done by Natalie — a qualified brow artist and graduate of the Elite Cosmetic Academy. She works from her own treatment room inside the salon on Victoria Road, New Brighton.

Natalie takes one client at a time and won't rush a brow. Every appointment starts with mapping the shape to your bone structure and matching pigment to your natural colouring, and nothing begins until you are happy with what is drawn on.

She is also honest about who microblading suits. If your skin or your brow history means you would get a better result from something else, she will tell you at the consultation rather than take your deposit.

What Is Microblading?

Wake up with
perfect brows.

Microblading is a semi-permanent eyebrow treatment that uses a fine hand-held blade to place pigment into the very top layer of the skin in precise, hair-like strokes. The result is a natural, beautifully shaped brow that lasts 12–18 months.

It is not a tattoo. A tattooed brow is a solid block of ink sitting deep in the skin; microblading mimics real hair, each stroke drawn to follow the direction your own brows grow. Done properly, nobody can tell.

It suits anyone with sparse, over-plucked, patchy or uneven brows — and anyone who is simply sick of drawing them on every morning.

If you would rather see how it looks before committing, book the free consultation. There is no obligation and no charge.

Not ready for something semi-permanent? We also do brow shaping, tinting and lamination at the salon.

Ideal For
Sparse or thin brows
Over-plucked brows
Uneven or asymmetric brows
Alopecia-related brow loss
Brow loss after chemotherapy
Anyone sick of drawing brows on daily

How It Works

From consultation
to perfect brows

01
Free Consultation & Patch Test

Natalie talks through what you want, checks your skin and your medical history, and patch tests the pigment. Costs nothing and there is no pressure to book.

02
The Treatment

Your shape is drawn on and agreed before anything else happens. Then fine hair strokes are worked in by hand. Around 2–2.5 hours, with numbing cream throughout.

03
Healing

Bold for a week, then they soften. Around week 2 the colour seems to disappear — don't panic, it returns by week 4. Full healing takes 30 days.

04
Top-Up at 6–8 Weeks

The second session is where brows are perfected — any strokes that healed lighter get filled in. £75, and worth doing. Results then last 12–18 months.

Before You Book

Is microblading
right for you?

Microblading is a skin treatment, so it isn't right for everyone. Have a read before booking — and if anything here applies to you, mention it at your free consultation. Some of these mean a delay rather than a no, and some need a word with your own doctor first.

Under 18
Pregnant or breastfeeding
Currently on antibiotics (wait 2 weeks after finishing the course)
Diabetes
Glaucoma
Active skin cancer
Undergoing radiotherapy or chemotherapy (speak to your doctor)
Transmittable blood conditions such as HIV or hepatitis
Epilepsy
A pacemaker or major heart problems
Botox in the past 2 weeks
Taking blood thinning medication
Psoriasis or eczema in the brow area
Haemophilia
An auto-immune disorder
Uncontrolled high blood pressure
Skin medication such as Accutane or steroids
Skincare containing retinol or acids
A facial, chemical peel or microneedling in the last 4 weeks
A holiday to a hot country booked within 4 weeks of the appointment
A history of keloid scarring
Surgery that could be affected — get clearance from your healthcare provider first
Fake tan in the 2 weeks before treatment
Sunbeds in the week before treatment
Caffeine or alcohol in the 24 hours before treatment

This list is a guide, not medical advice. A full contraindications form is completed and signed before any treatment goes ahead. If you are unsure, ask your GP.

Aftercare

Look after them
and they'll last.

How your brows heal is as much down to the next 30 days as it is to the appointment itself. Natalie goes through all of this on the day, but here it is in writing so you can come back to it.

Keep brows completely dry for 1 week — avoid hot showers and steam.
For the first 2 days, wipe gently once an hour with a plain baby wipe. Not a cleansing or exfoliating wipe, and nothing containing micellar water.
No exercise for 2 weeks — sweating lifts the pigment out.
Never pick the scabs. Let them fall away on their own.
At around week 2 the colour can look like it has vanished. That is normal — it comes back by week 4.
No make-up on the brow area for 1 week, to avoid infection.
No sunbathing or sunbeds for 30 days. Once healed, use sun cream and moisturiser on the area.
No light therapy, chemical peels, facials, microdermabrasion or rejuvenating creams for 30 days.
No laser treatments over the area for 30 days — it can destroy the pigment and cause burns.
Antibiotics and hormonal therapy can make the pigment fade faster.
Booking

How booking works

Deposits. A 50% deposit confirms your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable, but they are transferable if you give at least 48 hours' notice.

Lateness. More than 10 minutes late means the appointment and the deposit are lost. There is no wiggle room on this one — microblading needs the full slot.

Payment. The balance is paid on the day, cash or bank transfer only. There is a cash machine close to the salon.

Existing brow tattoos. If you already have microblading or SPMU that you want covering, send a clear photo before booking so Natalie can check it is coverable.

Contraindications. If the treatment can't go ahead because of something you didn't tell us about, the deposit is not refunded — so please be upfront at the consultation.

In the salon. No children or pets during treatment, for everyone's safety.

Common Questions

What you need
to know

How much does microblading cost in New Brighton?

Natalie is running an introductory offer of £130 for full microblading, normally £200. The consultation is free, and a 50% deposit secures your appointment. A top-up 6–8 weeks after your first treatment is £75 and is strongly recommended.

Does microblading hurt?

A topical numbing cream is applied before treatment, so most clients find it very comfortable — a light scratching sensation at most. Pain levels vary from person to person, but the vast majority find it easily tolerable.

How long does microblading last?

Results typically last 12–18 months depending on your skin type, lifestyle and how closely you follow the aftercare. Oily skin tends to fade faster. A colour boost once a year keeps brows looking fresh.

How long does the appointment take?

Allow around 2 to 2.5 hours for the treatment itself. Your free consultation is a separate, shorter appointment beforehand, where Natalie maps your shape, matches your colour and checks you are suitable.

Do you cover Wallasey and the rest of the Wirral?

Yes. The studio is inside Elle Vie on Victoria Road in New Brighton, CH45 2JF — about five minutes from Wallasey and Liscard, fifteen from Birkenhead, and easy to reach from Hoylake, West Kirby and Liverpool through the tunnel. There is parking on the road outside.

Can I have microblading if I have no brows at all?

Yes — microblading works beautifully for very sparse brows, brows lost through alopecia or chemotherapy, and brows over-plucked over the years. Natalie designs the shape from scratch to suit your face.

Can you cover up old microblading or permanent makeup?

Often, yes — but it depends on how dark and how old the existing pigment is. Send a clear photo of your current brows to the salon on 0151 637 1200, or by Instagram DM, before booking — Natalie will tell you honestly whether it is coverable.

Who should not have microblading?

Microblading is not suitable if you are under 18, pregnant or breastfeeding, or if you have certain conditions or are taking certain medications. There is a full suitability list on this page. If anything on it applies to you, speak to Natalie and to your own GP before booking — the free consultation exists for exactly this.

Is a deposit required?

Yes — a 50% deposit confirms your appointment. Deposits are non-refundable but are transferable if you give at least 48 hours' notice. Full payment is due on the day by cash or bank transfer. Call the salon on 0151 637 1200 to book.

How do I look after my brows afterwards?

Keep them dry for a week, wipe gently with a plain baby wipe for the first two days, no exercise for two weeks, no make-up for a week, and never pick the scabs. Full aftercare is set out on this page and Natalie talks you through it on the day.
